Role Description

To translate this mission efficiently into action, and to ensure that Unilever complies with its own high standards as well as with the technical aspects of legislation, is the task of the Global Product Compliance team. The GPC is part of the Regulatory Affairs Organisation in R&D. The team supports the whole Unilever portfolio and deals with the full variety in compliance activities, interacting with many functions in Unilever.

The Digital Team within the GPC is looking for a Regulatory Compliance Assistant Manager based in Vlaardingen (Q2 2019 onwards Rotterdam Nassaukade).

Responsibilities

The role focuses on design, maintenance and improvements of our Regulatory Digital tools

As Global Product Compliance Assistant Manager you will:
• Work closely with Regulatory Affairs people globally to analyze and understand regulatory requirements;
• Manage translation of these requirements into processes and functional requirements for IT tools;
• Work with Digital R&D, UL-IT and IT suppliers to develop tools that meet their purpose;
• Test proposed and support developed solutions;
• Hand-over processes to users within Regulatory Affairs and external partners, supporting them in applying new ways of working and getting most out of the tools;
• Manage (parts) of the projects.

The Digital Team within the GPC is looking for a Regulatory Compliance Assistant Manager based in Vlaardingen (Q2 2019 onwards Rotterdam Nassaukade).

Other information

• You hold a degree (min. MSc) or equivalent in Chemistry or Food Science and/or in Business Process Engineering.
• You have working knowledge and/or a proven interest to develop understanding of current and emerging product legislation;
• You are ‘IT savvy’, know how to create and use spreadsheets /databases for analysis purposes or document management and are able to deal with high volumes of data;
• Working Knowledge of SAP PLM/EHS and/or experience in developing IT tools are an advantage.
• Previous work experience in R&D for a multi-national Fast Moving Consumer Goods company is an advantage, especially if with Food, Home Care and/or Cosmetic products.

• You are analytically capable, have attention to detail and are tenacious, able to recognize, question and resolve discrepancies;
• You are very well organized, goal oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic and confident;
• You are an effective communicator, also with other functions and capable of holding people accountable.
