Responsibilities:
• Designing and developing program methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze structured/unstructured, diverse ’big data’ sources to generate actionable insights.
• Interacting with product and business teams to identify questions and issues and translate it into data science problems.
• Developing and coding software programs, algorithms and automated processes to cleanse, integrate and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources.
• Identifying meaningful insights from large data and metadata sources; interpreting and communicating insights and findings from analysis and experiments to product, service, business managers and customer service operations lead.
• Applying state of the art machine learning/ deep learning techniques.
Requirements:
• Strong analytical background, at least a BS, and preferably an MS or PhD, degree in computer science, statistics or related quantitative field, with an emphasis on data mining, statistics, machine learning, algorithms or similar field.
• Understanding of applied math topics such as probability and statistics, linear algebra, basic optimization techniques, etc.
• 2+ years work experience as a data scientist or a related role.
• Knowledge of Python/R with experience in machine learning related packages.
• Knowledge of SQL with experience in data warehouse technologies like Teradata.
• Experience/willingness to learn big data technologies like Hadoop and Hive.
• Experience using a wide range of analytical techniques: both supervised and unsupervised e.g., clustering, natural language processing (NLP), recommender engines, time series analysis, A/B testing, sentiment analysis and data visualization.
• Experience in deploying machine learning models into production, using and writing APIs .
• Ability to communicate DL/ML results to business.
• Ability to work highly independently and manage multiple priorities in an agile fast paced environment.
