IDT Infrastructure team is serving around 60 locations, multiple domains, administering ap. 1500 switches, serving large amount of Meraki access points. You will join approximately 30 engineers, service desk agents and architects, and be a part of SSC IT Competence Centre located in Łódź
Your next role
The IDT Data Centre System Engineer is part of the team responsible for managing, monitoring, securing the company's servers and applications which are running in the Group Data Center. The Group Data Center is based on a hybrid landscape consisting of computer resources in Azure and on premise.
You will also contribute in projects for the set-up, maintenance, patching, changing and upgrades of the servers. You will assist in the defining and testing the Disaster Recovery Plans. The job also includes resolution of incidents in a timely and accurate manner.

Your next role
The IDT Data Centre System Engineer is part of the team responsible for managing, monitoring, securing the company's servers and applications which are running in the Group Data Center. The Group Data Center is based on a hybrid landscape consisting of computer resources in Azure and on premise.
You will also contribute in projects for the set-up, maintenance, patching, changing and upgrades of the servers. You will assist in the defining and testing the Disaster Recovery Plans. The job also includes resolution of incidents in a timely and accurate manner.
Job responsibilities:
- Daily operations on (application) servers hosted in Azure cloud and on premise
- Actions like patching on servers running in data centre on level of VMware Host server, Linux servers and Windows servers
- Upgrade projects on the server infrastructure
- Monitoring of the central group backup landscape
- Create and set-up backup and D/R plans for applications to achieve the Application SLA's
- Create and update the documentation of the Data Centre
- Troubleshooting during server incidents
- Maintenance management for hardware
- Set-up and support on different terminal servers that are running for different applications
- Participate and contribute in the migration of servers/applications towards Azure cloud
What you’ll need to succeed
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
- Experience using Windows server environments
- Experience using VMware Host servers and VMware virtual Center
- Experience troubleshooting in Virtual environment with VMware and virtual Center
- Experience using Central Storage systems that are used in Data Centre
- Experience with network infrastructure in data centre
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization
Languages:
- Very good (written and spoken) knowledge of English required
- Knowledge of an additional language is an advantage
