The Data Catalog Product Owner will be responsible for the overall management and maintenance of the company39s data catalog. This includes ensuring data is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible to internal stakeholders. It also includes partnering and closely working with the vendor of the data catalog as well as internal stakeholders to identify and implement use cases and requirement.

Your new role 

• Manage and maintain the company39s Collibra data catalog

• Work with the data steward community manager and data community to ensure that data catalog structure is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible to internal stakeholders

• Identify new data sources and implement best practices for data governance in the context of the data catalog

• Work closely with other departments and stakeholders to understand data needs and ensure data is meeting their requirements

• Develop and implement policies and procedures for data management and compliance together with the legal and compliance department

• Stay informed of industry trends and best practices in data management and compliance

• Ensure the company is in compliance with all relevant data regulations, such as GDPR and HIPAA

• Work closely and partner with the data catalog vendor on all aspects of the tool management (new features / updates / enhancement / licensing)

• Develop and provide training and support to users of the data catalog

• Review and update data governance policies and procedures as needed in the context of the data catalog

What you39ll need to succeed 

• Bachelor39s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field

• Minimum of 3 years of experience managing data catalog, esp. Collibra

• Experience in setup and rollout of Collibra Data Catalog in a company

• Background in information science and data management

• Experience working with data management tools and technologies

• Knowledge of data governance and compliance best practices

• Experience and Knowledge of data mesh concepts

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Experience with data protection and privacy regulations such as GDPR and HIPAA
