Our client is a professional Pharmaceutical organization, based in Noord-Brabant Netherlands.
The Client is an independent laboratory focusing on Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) solutions.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
As Data Analyst you will be responsible for the data management and analysis of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) projects. You will develop and optimize bioinformatic analyses. Due to fast developments in the market you will regularly attend seminars on related topics. You are a strong communicator and likes to work with multiple departments within the company, to analyse the different needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for Data Management and Analysis of Next Generation Sequencing projects
- Development and optimization of bioinformatic analysis, pipelines and software
- Part of the team that will develop a new LIMS system
- Keep your knowledge up to date with the newest technologies
- Attending Seminars, reading publications in the field of Bioinformatics
REQUIREMENTS
- Master Degree in BioStatistics, Bioinformatics or comparable
- Excellent communication skills in English; strong communicator
- 5+ years' of experience in the field of bioinformatics
- Experience with programming languages, Perl, Python or R
- Previous work experience with Next Generation Sequencing
