Role Description

In this position you will combine chefmanship and technology with a main focus on formulation. The role is destined to be for one who is passionate about creating delicious dishes and at the same time appreciates to translate this to industrial recipe creation. You will work with various product categories in dry/pasty technologies. Also you will get the chance learn other disciplines in the team which includes processing, packaging, and digital, ect.

Responsibilities

• Work together with MCO chef & CTI to develop product brief
• Creation of new formulation according to product brief via benchmarking existing recipes, adaptation of core formulation design or translating recipe from scratch
• To update existing formulation
• To use in recipe creation & update, basic technological requirements of the sourcing unit of implementation such as water activity, fill weight, packaging, etc.
• To make sure that technical claims are delivered in the recipe design
• To work with a digital system for formulation design (PLM)
• To implement recipe approval process and lead the session with business partners
• To implement approved formulation in the sourcing unit
• Conduct basic analytical tests such as pH, water activity and bulk density
• To give basic culinary training with the team and sharing kitchen insights that will be useful for design
• To help coach the team in formulation development activity
• To gain and share information about competitor and supplier position in area of expertise
• To support with technical information in case of need to protect technology/formulation.

Requirements

• University degree (Science or Engineering or Culinary)
• Minimum of 3-5 years relevant work experience in food industry as a chef /cook or comparable work experience to translate culinary briefings into industrial
recipes, dry & pasty technology as an advantage
• With knowledge in dry savory ingredients
• Ms Office skills
• Strong communication skills
