THE COMPANY

Our client is a professional Agriculture and Food organization, based in Antwerpen Belgium.

This client operates in the Agriculture business and is looking for an international, experienced Business Development Director who has experience in the field. You will be internationally traveling 40-50% of the time.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

As Business Development Director, you will have 7 direct reports. To guide them properly, you have extensive management experience and have a way with people. The Stage Gate method would be a strong plus. Besides this, of course, you still have core business to attend to. With your decade of experience in project management, marketing or business development, you know how to push the product and pull customers. You lead from the front, are flexible and a strong negotiator.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Being present on the plant near Antwerp while also travelling internationally 50% of the time
• Leading the product management and communication teams
• Coordinating value propositions
• Aligning product offering with corporate strategy
• Market intelligence
• Product and client visibility
• Developing marketing instruments at group level for subsidiaries across the globe

REQUIREMENTS

• MSc in Plant Sciences, Bio-engineering or similar
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
• Strong project management skills, Stage-Gate is a plus
• Flexible in managing teams and external service providers
• Experienced in B2B marketing, including social media
• Fluent English, Dutch a strong plus, other languages are an asset
