Cost Analyst
For our client, an international production company we are currently looking for Cost Analyst.
Location: Wrocław
Job description:
• Perform monthly closing activities including preparation of journal entries, and inventory related account reconciliations.
• Manage inventory and related transactions, including physical to perpetual to general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, audit explanations, and standard costs.
• Analyze inventory adjustments over set thresholds and work with production control to determine root cause and corrective action.
• Analyze manufacturing variances and identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Manage the preparation and execution of annual and quarterly standard cost rolls.
• Manage the processes involving establishment of standard costs of new parts and the review and analysis of standard costs for existing parts. Maintain the integrity and accuracy of product cost data.
• Manage the periodic requirements of manufacturing systems to ensure timely and accurate standards and gross margins and provide meaningful analysis of results.
• Audit cycle count activity, selection of items to be counted, recount decisions, research of discrepancies, and reporting on root causes.
• Provide product cost information utilized in month end financial closing.
• Direct the development and review of cost analysis reports and work with operations to formulate corrective actions.
Requirements:
• BS in Accounting, Finance or equivalent is required.
• At least 4-6 years of progressive experience with mid to large international companies, manufacturing company.
• Up to date knowledge of both U.S. generally accepted accounting principles and local/statutory GAAP.
• Thorough understanding of Cost Accounting including standard costs and variances.
• Language: English (written and spoken) Strong systems skills with prior experience of Finance ERP system.
• Working knowledge of SAP is a plus Advanced Excel skills, ability to work with lookups and pivot tables and large data sets.
• Previous experience with supporting manufacturing operations or general manager.
• Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously with flexibility and agility, along with good business acumen and excellent organizational skills.
