Leading the Lean Transformation of the plant, responsibility for development programs. Typical improvement activity results in improved safety, productivity, quality, cost reductions and material flow. Providing CI activity support to the all operations. Ensuring the plant follow the continuous improvement strategy by providing support and coordinating resources

Description

  • Development of Site CI deployment plans consistent with business unit/ region strategic and operational planning.
  • Identification, organisation and mentor site based resources to enable them to succeed in the CI deployment.
  • Provides LEAN training for team members, management and staff in all CI tools ensuring that the responsibilities are defined and understood, and oversees the LEAN projects.
  • Identify ongoing LEAN improvement resource needs and assist with developing and implementing the required skill levels.
  • Directs and facilitates the ongoing LEAN improvement process through the use of continues improvement tools such as Hoshin Kanri, Kaizen, 5'S, TPM, Material Flow, Standard Work, Cell Design in alignment with Company Continous Improvement Program and standardization across the plant.
  • Monitor progress against plans and achievement of continuous improvement and progression to higher assessment levels.
  • Establish a culture of waste elimination and define the impact on Key Performance Indicators and track savings - ensure changes are implemented, the "Future State" is realised and becomes the new "Current State".
  • Provide leadership on lean thinking, lean processing and lean production.
  • Drive Kaizen Culture and Facilitate Kaizen events throughout the site.
  • Develop and maintain the value stream mapping/ transformation cycle including CI plans.
  • Being the Continuous site leader in the business unit CI organization. Absorb and share best practices among all other sites in the Industrial Business Unit globally.

Profile

* Proven "change agent" capability with experience driving lean process and organizational transformation across multiple functions and level within the organization.
* Experience capturing voice of the customer and translating customer needs into process improvement priorities.
* Previous hands-on and practical experience in using value stream mapping and implementing CI tools. Lead minimum 15 Lean events with proven results in at least following areas: 5S+1, Visual Factory, Standard Work, Quick Changeover and TPM preferred.
* Bachelor of Engineering or similar degree with an emphasis in manufacturing, or equivalent is desired.
* Min. Six Sigma GB - BB prefered
* Proven analysis and presentation skills including use of common tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Minimum of 5 years of professional experience with focus on production, logistics or industrial engineering and economical knowledge
* Fluent in both spoken and written English and local language is essential.
* Aspirations to move further - potential successor for Plant Manager position.
