Description
EDI Specialist analyses specifications for enhancements and extensions with EDI application interfaces and PI mappings. Ensures proper configuration and set-up of EDI tools and systems that support transfer between internal and external trading partners. EDI Specialist coordinates trading partner implementations and conducts EDI testing. Documents processes, data flow, file specifications and mappings using standard formats.
- Investigate, resolve and/or escalate all tickets related to IDOC,
- EDIFACT, mapping issues
- Maintain high quality communication with clients and business
- Analyse and resolve the issues reports in daily reports
- Cooperate and communicate with 3rd level support if needed
- Comply with procedures, segregation of duties and service levels
- Contribute to knowledge management
- Perform other activities provided by your Team Lead
Profile
Required:
- Solid understanding of EDI standards and practices
- Knowledge of IT services related to SAP NetWeaver PI 7.1 or higher
- IB objects understanding with adapter types IDoc, File, AS2, X.400, SFTP, SOAP ESR interface, mapping and process integration analysis
- Monitoring of IE, AAE, Communication Channels, Java Logs
- XML, XPath knowledge
- ABAP understanding
- Knowledge of EDIFACT, ANSI.X12, TRADACOMS
- Adapter modules configuration
- IDoc processing and configuration in ERP
- SAP ERP Output condition customization (NACE)
- Programming experience with any OOP language
- Mapping IDoc to EDIFACT and vice versa
- Knowledge or experience in SAP SD customizing
- ABAP and ABAP/OO debugging experience
- Understanding of integrative SAP processes and interfaces to the modules SD, PP, MM, FI, CO
- Basic understanding of SAP infrastructure and SAP development workbench
Other skills:
- University degree in IT or Engineering
- Knowledge of fluent English required
- Knowledge of German / French is an asset
- Clear service orientation

- Good analytical abilities
- Ability to work in a Team
