Commodity Manager Mechanical Parts - Industrial
Our Client is an acknowledged international production company, one of the leaders in its branch. Due to allocating new production lines in Polish facility, and strengthening the global purchasing structures, we are looking to recruit an experienced Commodity Manager.
The successful candidate will be challenged with managing assigned Commodity (Mechanical Parts) in EMEA region.

Description
You will report to the Global Procurement Director and your main duties will be:

Establish and execute industrial sourcing strategy to Mechanical Parts commodity (metal parts, wire harnesses, plastics) - approx. 1200 SKU

Strategically manage a regional spend of over 30 Million € to ensure maximum leverage on suppliers and optimum cost savings

Contribute to further development and improvement of assigned portfolio by risk and opportunities assessment, benchmarking, direct negotiations, etc.

Manage and develop a portfolio company vendors, localizing them to Polish market - approx. 200 suppliers

Ensure proper supplier performance, aim to develop supplier processes and technology, so that the best quality, service levels, and cost is delivered

Establish and lead x-functional projects with marketing, quality, and sales departments in order to meet SL and quality targets

Assure proper communication at all levels, aiming to assess and target root-cause problems and find long-term solutions

Assist continuous improvement with all facility activities
Profile
- Master's Degree or relevant education in Economics or Engineering
- Post-graduate degree in Purchasing Education would be an asset
- Materials, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive background strongly preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Sourcing or Commodity Management in industrial environment
- Excellent analytic skills, strong financial knowledge
- Demonstrated networking, relationship building and influencing skills
- Results and quality orientation, attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as a part of the team
- Ability to travel (up to 30% per month), valid driving license
- Excellent Polish and English written and spoken
