For our Client, well-recognised manufacturer of construction materials, we are currently looking for a person interested in the role of Command Center (Monitoring) Analyst.
Your new role
Responsibilities•Monitoring of the IT infrastructure on 24/5/365 basis•In the long run in 24/7/365 mode•Handle events such as identifying security breaches, backup failures, network outages, application crashes or misbehaviours and reacting to them•Conduct simple troubleshooting on identified issues (1st – 2nd level support)•Incident resolution and coordination •Work with operational procedures and incident tracking systems (SNOW)
Additional Competences:•Applies knowledge of technology industry, trends, and best practices to company. Leverages technological knowledge to achieve business objectives, such as to solve problems, develop new ideas, or build the business; resolves technological issues impeding work; adapts technological information, facts, or data to varying situations or groups; recommends changes to technological approach based upon knowledge of trends and best practices.•Presents ideas clearly both verbally and in writing so that others can understand. Listens attentively to others and tailor’s communications based on the audience. Presents a professional image when communicating with others.•The operation of the IT infrastructure (typically hardware, software, information stored on various media, and communications) required to deliver and support properly-engineered IT services and products to meet the needs of a business. Includes preparation for new or changed services, operation of the change process, the maintenance of regulatory, legal and professional standards, and the monitoring of performance of systems and services in relation to their contribution to business performance, their security and their sustainability.•The resolution of incidents and problems throughout the information system lifecycle, including classification, prioritization and initiation of action, documentation of root causes and implementation of remedies.
What you'll need to succeed
Essential Knowledge and Experience:•Knowledge and general experience around IT Technologies in the corporate environment. •Preferred prior experience on similar position, in the enterprise / corporate environment for large scale organizations. •Knowledge of Windows operating and server systems•Understanding of network management concepts and software (Active Directory, Exchange, O365, SCCM, VDI)•Basic knowledge of security applications such as IDS/IPS, firewalls, VPN, Anti-Virus, Proxy, Encryption, Security Event Management, Event Management•Basic understanding of SAN technologies, Storage Management (TSM)•Basic knowledge of database systems (MySQL, MS SQL)•Basic understanding of virtualization technologies (Azure, AWS, DC as a Cloud Service, DC Virtualization)•Ability to read and understand network diagrams, learn quick and adapt•Knowledge of trouble ticketing systems (SNOW) and enterprise-wide support processes (Incident/Request/Problem/Change Management)•Strong interpersonal and user service skills•Good organizational skills, proactiveness, and can-do- attitude
Other Skills•Good English (both verbal and written is a must), German is a plus•A positive, collaborative and pragmatic attitude. Calm in the storm•Excellent communication skills•Willingness to learn and develop in different areas of technologies related with the position and current or future business needs•Ability to work in multi-vendor environment, with different support modes and models. •Ability to work with different service management / ticketing tools •Knowledge of production company structure with support distributed across multiple locations around the globe•Technology related certifications are welcomed•ITIL Knowledge on Foundation Level desired
