Cloud DevOps Engineer - 100% remote
This is a newly created position for a person who would like to work with AWS, and bring changes into the department. There are no shifts and no on-calls. One of the focuses is to shape Unit Tests process.

Our Client is an advanced and high-end Analytics Center in Wroclaw founded 2019. They are part of one of Europe's biggest life insurance companies operating in the German market. Their main task is to serve as decision-making support for the top management and the relevant specialist areas and to meet the regulatory requirements.
Description
Objectives of this Role:
- Building, setting up, and maintaining development tools and infrastructure on cloud hosting
- Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
- Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results
- Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
- Encouraging and building automated processes wherever possible
- Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and 'fixes'
- Actively support on developing and promoting development culture
Your Tasks:
- Cloud and CI/CD deployment and management
- Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve release and testing experience
- Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems
- Develop scripts to automate release deployments and testing
- Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
- Perform root cause analysis for production errors
- Investigate and resolve technical issues
Profile
Our Requirements:
- Bachelor, Master's or PhD degree in computer science, mathematics, physics or related with proven track record
- Experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role
- Experience in setting up, running, and maintaining Jenkins instances on cloud infrastructure
- Ideally, experience with Infrastructure as Code with Docker and Kubernetes
- Ideally, experiences with managing production infrastructure on a Public Cloud with Kustomize/Terraform
- Working knowledge of Java, Groovy, Python
- Working knowledge of databases and SQL
- Very good English, German would be a plus
