Client Details
Our client, manufacturing company operating internationally, currently is looking for an experienced candidate for the position of Chief Financial Officer potentially also Member of the Board. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading and developing of all aspects of finance, accounting and controlling and treasury and potentially IT and HR departments within the organization. Candidate will act as a strategic business partner for the Management Board, Supervisory Board of the company and will closely cooperate with Private equity fund partners.
Description
- Provide leadership for the finance division including accounting, finance, controlling and treasury operations
- Ensure the accuracy of all financial information; monitor and provide regular and timely reports on financial performance to management board
- Provide ad-hoc analysis supporting the management and the operational departments
- Implement and optimize current management reporting process to ensure effective monitoring of actual results against planned budgets
- Responsible for investment appraisal and cost accounting
- Provide hands on analysis to support and improve the operational effectiveness of the production plant in Poland strongly focusing on cost control / cash flow management (short and long-term)
- Cooperate with banks and financial institutions in Poland and abroad to optimize financing (line of credit, leasing etc.)
- Conduct the policy of hiring, managing, motivating and developing staff in the subordinate department and ensuring their proper functioning
- Candidate will be involved in investor relations activities
- Plan, implement, supervise and control the budget and long-term financial plans
- Support the Management Board within M&A activities including targeting of potential acquisitions, due diligence, transaction execution and post-merger integration
Profile
- University degree in Business Administration/Finance/Accounting
- At least 10 years of experience in a leading position as a Finance Director within organisation with level of the turnover of a few hundred million PLN.
- Experience in manufacturing environment is essential and additionally experience in management of Supply chain area will be a huge added value
- Excellent knowledge of local accounting standards as well legal and tax compliance requirements
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to operate effectively at all levels of the organization
- Proven experience in cooperation with Private Equity or Venture Capital Equity investment will be important
- Understands key business drivers and proactively seeks out opportunities and recommends solutions that can be effectively supported
- Strong mix of technical financial and accounting knowledge along with commercial acumen
- Proactive, organized and independent problem solver
- Experience with ERP systems and other IT tools to effectively drive business processes
