Client Details
Our client, a major Polish manufacturing company listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, currently is looking for an experienced candidate for the position of Chief Financial Officer. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading and developing of all aspects of finance, accounting and controlling departments within the organization and will also act as a strategic business partner to the management board of the company .
Description
- Provide leadership for the finance division including accounting, finance, controlling and treasury operations
- Responsible for cyclical financial reporting according to IFRS accounting standards and those required by the WSE
- Ensure the accuracy of all financial information; monitor and provide regular and timely reports on financial performance to management board
- Provide ad-hoc analysis supporting the management and the operational departments
- Implement and optimize current management reporting process to ensure effective monitoring of actual results against planned budgets
- Responsible for investment appraisal and cost accounting
- Provide hands on analysis to support and improve the operational effectiveness of the production plant in Poland strongly focusing on cost control / cash flow management (short and long-term)
- Cooperate with banks and financial institutions in Poland and abroad to optimize financing (line of credit, leasing etc.)
- Conduct the policy of hiring, managing, motivating and developing staff in the subordinate department and ensuring their proper functioning
- Manage all investor relations activities
- Plan, implement, supervise and control the budget and long-term financial plans
- Support the management with M&A activities including targeting of potential acquisitions, due diligence, transaction execution and post-merger integration
Profile
- University degree in Business Administration/Finance/Accounting
- At least 8 years of experience in a leading position as a Finance Director,
- Experience in manufacturing environment required
- Excellent knowledge of local accounting standards as well legal and tax compliance requirements
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to operate effectively at all levels of the organization
- Understands key business drivers and proactively seeks out opportunities and recommends solutions that can be effectively supported
- Strong mix of technical financial and accounting knowledge along with commercial acumen
- Proactive, organized and independent problem solver
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience with ERP systems and other IT tools to effectively drive business processes
- Very good English both spoken and written
