THE COMPANY
Our client is a professional Chemicals organization, based in Zuid-Holland Netherlands.
This international organisation with it's HQ based in the USA.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
The buyer is responsible for your own site and the for procurement of both direct and indirect spend for either Belgium, Germany, Netherlands or France.
This role is a combination of operational buying and contract support activities and has 4 key areas of focus:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- To secure the supply of all materials and services for a defined commodity and projects such that competitive advantage is derived in the market place.
- Provide requisition to pay (RtP) expertise and training as required to internal business clients.
- Recommend and participate in RtP work process improvement projects.
- Transaction and administrative work within the function group as well support to the business
REQUIREMENTS
KEY SKILLS:
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Self starter, capable of taking ownership of issues and resolving them
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office
- Excellent written and oral Dutch and English language skills, (French and German language skill is advantageous)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Team player
- Good planning and presentation skills
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Educated to degree level, preferably in an Engineering or Supply Chain related discipline
- At least 1-3 years experience within a Supply Chain related discipline
- Procurement within in a SAP environment would be advantageous
