You will:

• Be the subject matter expert on the process of the various certification schemes (Type Approval, MED, QAM, MQS, Works Approval)
• Act as first Point of Contact for the external client
• Deal with queries and build relationships with internal/external clients, as appropriate
• Setting up contract agreements specific to the type of work
• Dealing with the BYD process from setting up the quote, project, sales order, acting as Responsible Person, invoicing etc.
• Organizing plan approval capacity (incl. quote requests, checking technical authorisations, resource availability etc.)
• Organizing local attendance at manufacturers, at yards, onboard existing ships (incl. authorisation verification) for witnessing tests, carrying out production quality assessments etc.
• Guiding surveyors and clients through test setup, testing, and witnessing
• Advice on specific projects, internal and external, questions received from manufacturers, end clients, colleagues, shipyards, competitors, laboratories

You will need:

• To have completed secondary education or relevant apprenticeship
• Excellent cooperation and communication skills with own team and with other internal and external stakeholders
• Strong customer orientation
• Responsive and pro-active
• Commercial awareness
