Our client is a professional Agriculture organization, based in Brussel Belgium.

The company of our client is well known within the agricultural breeding businesses. It produces a wide range of (bio)plant protection products for all over the world. Biotechnology and microbiology are the way to go within this company.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Their focus is mainly aimed at Biological Crop protection, Innovation, quality consistency and technology developments. Being a long existing business, their knowledge and services are the key drivers for their success. The demand for their product keeps increasing and their company keeps growing. Clustering knowledge from multiple disciplines of which each has their own specialty results in excitement and a boost in their investments and results.

As Business Development Director / Marketing Manager you will be the expert of the business expansion and growth in this field. Your focus will be aimed at understanding the association between value brought forward by individuals and the results that team efforts can realize. Thus it is your responsibility to translate these results and understand how to trigger them. All together an interesting combination between Marketing and sales including your leadership abilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform best in your role you will be responsible for the following areas:

• Improve and develop existing and new markets by interpreting data and results and aligning strategy
• Work together with other Marketing, Sales, Development and technology experts on multiple product development/innovation projects
• Focus on result performance by your team and you. Furthermore align this with the other Directors
• Realize the targets from the short and long term planning and manage the planning accordingly

REQUIREMENTS

To successfully fill this role as a Business Development Director / Marketing Manager, you should have the skills, attitude that follow:

• PhD or MSc in Agricultural related field in a commercial lead position
• Between 6-10 years of experience in the Crops Sciences
• Analytical, planning and project management skills
• Focus on strategic goals and manage targets
• Fluent writing and speaking skills in English
• Leading, Mentoring, friendly, innovative and open personality to support the organization.
