Our client is a professional FMCG and Food organisation, based in Brussel Belgium. This client is a multinational in the bakery segment who is on the lookout for two new additions to their Research team. This position is for a young specialist in Baked products.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

As young expert in baked products, you build competences regarding the application, impact on food texture and structure in bakery products. With your good knowledge of carbohydrates and their use in application, you can share this knowledge with your team and together build the best possible product. At the same time, you're outgoing and communicative and you build an external network in the field of expertise. Trends are no strangers to you and you keep your team informed on what's happening in bakery. Working in a matrix organization, you are available as an expert for your peers in the larger group.

Your task is to initiate innovation projects, to improve the production of baked bakery and patisserie products; to initiate research projects on carbohydrates, to take in account nutritional evolutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- developing new research on baked goods
- sharing expertise on carbohydrates
- sharing knowledge within a matrix type of organization
- building an external network of bakers
- collaborate with purchasing for the sourcing of carbs

REQUIREMENTS

- MSc/PhD in Food science, Biology
- track record in bakery research (non-negotiable)
- knowledge on the industrial application of carbs
- strong networking skills
- impactful, customer centric, understanding of market needs
