Their goal is to provide the possibilities for all users - to find the data they need, collaborate on it and easily understand its meaning.
Your new role
As a Backend Engineering Manager you will be combining wide range of tasks such building, managing and growing the team. You'll be responsible for onboarding process, meetup and conferences organisation, arranging trainings, coaching, mentoring and supporting the team. You'll be the member of management team, cooperating with the recruitment team to hire engineers. Apart from that, you'll still have hands-on work as a Backend Engineer with the team. You'll have a chance to formulate, suggest and develop new ideas and features to further improve products. With other developers, you'll implement the new functionalities with a high quality, afterwards, review the code changes from your peers before they go into the main line in Git.
What you'll need to succeed
Our client is looking for a person with at least 6 years of experience as Backend Engineer and 2 years of experience in a management position. We're looking for you if you're a hands-on person who still wants to help develop the product and you are a Java developer presenting great passion for quality, good design and clean code.You will be expected to present solid knowledge of relational databases and strong architectural knowledge, experience working with Hibernate, Spring, IntelliJ IDEA IDE . It will be a huge plus if you have a knowledge of OSGi and database model optimisation. If you have strong ability to coach people and let them grow, you put the team first and present can-do mentality and you're proficient English - this opportunity is definitely for you.
