What's the job about?
The team has created and is developing a business oriented application for Google internal use.We are working on new versions, pushing the customer experience to a new level, covering different platforms. Depending on your experience your tasks can cover bug fixes, design and writing new features or influencing of the overall architecture. A great team player who can work with geographically dispersed multicultural virtual teams.
Who are we looking for?
Google is looking to hire a talented Back End Developer to join our team in Wroclaw. In this position you will have the opportunity to work with some of the smartest people in the industry, on a fast-paced and motivated team. As a part of the team, you will have the chance to affect the design and development of applications for one of the world's largest IT companies
You could have the needed knowledge if you have at least 2 years working experience.Communication in English should be easy for you, we are a multinational team.
Minimum Qualifications:
● Python 2.7+
● Experience on working with relational databases (preferred MySQL/MariaDB)
● BSc in computer science / software engineering (or equivalent)
● Good knowledge of data structures and algorithms
● Ability to constructively work together with others to efficiently maintain and improve a large existing code base
● Strong spoken and written communication skills in English
Preferred Qualifications
• 1-2 years of relevant work experience
• Django (1.11)
● Knowledge of Web services/protocols
● Operating systems: Familiarity with Linux and Bash
● Good organizational and problem solving skills
● Feature effort estimation
● Agile / Scrum development
● Experience in working with multicultural teams
Your position will involve:
● Feature prioritization
● Issue identification and resolution
● Writing unit tests & documentation
● Designing databases structures
● Code review
● Keeping code clean, modular and self-sustaining

● Work methodology:
● Code review, unit test (currently about 80% coverage), static code analysis

● Company wide code styles,
● Laptop and workstation, 2x24” displays, support of Mac, Linux
● Task distribution: new feature 80%, Maintenance 10%, Document writing 5%, meetings 5%
Salary: 9 000 - 15 000 PLN/Gross
