Azure DevOps Engineer

You will be working in project that is related to Azure Factory for one of Clients from Investment Banking area.

You will be helping TIER 1 Investment bank to be ready for azure implementation and migration

You have:

Deployment: Understands how to automate deployments using Ansible, as part of a GitLab-driven CI/CD build chain.

Cloud: Is familiar with general cloud concepts and IaC, particularly for Azure. Knows how to use Azure CLI and ARM

Architecture: Can design small to medium size solutions in Azure.

Big plus if below listed is not something new for you :

Kubernetes: Is aware of how Kubernetes works. Understanding of persistent storage, types of workload (Deployment, Statefulset, Job, etc) and their behavior, Ingress Controllers and their configuration, particularly to establish security (TLS, ciphers, impact of termination at Ingress Controller vs pass-thru to pod)

Containerisation: Is able to build a container, automate its build process and aware of the container lifecycle, particularly options to manage vulnerabilities.

Security: Is aware of general security concepts, particularly when and how things are encrypted and is ideally capable to recognise situations when they probably should be (with guidance, somewhat of a soft skill). Is familiar with authentication/authorisation concepts such as Mutual TLS and OAuth 2.0/OIDC.

OS: is familiar with Linux and Windows

Development: Is familiar with Shell, Python and preferably Java. Is able to spin up RESTful API in both Python and Java, including publishing OpenAPI for them as well as authentication and authorisation.

Industry: Is aware of potential restrictions within a regulated industry, how they can affect solutions and how to adapt to the circumstances.

Soft Skills: Ability to listen, understand and offer solutions to acute problems. Not too shy to challenge the way it is done in the past and offer a better way but also be challenged in return. Ability to write concise documentation to permanently solve problems/questions that occurred more than once.

Your expertise

• several years of experience running Linux and/or Windows in enterprise environments
• 3+ years of experience in designing and implementing Docker/Kubernetes solutions (AKS preferred)
• 3+ years of experience on developing infrastructure as code (Powershell/Ansible preferred)
• experience in Azure networking and cloud security
• knowledge of DevOps and Agile principles and best practices
• proficiency in Az CLI
• proficiency in ARM
• experience in Python
• experience creating Gitlab pipelines
• experience building and running containers
• good knowledge of java application servers
• good understanding of Linux and Windows
• good experience in PowerShell
• experience with agile methodology, SAFE and SCRUM
