Automation\ I&C Engineers

Our Client Aibel is one of the largest oil service companies in Norway and is established within renewable energy. The company has 5,000 employees and operations in five countries, including two world-class fabrication yards. Aibel is an engineering company that plans, builds, upgrades and maintains platforms, vessels and production facilities in the oil and gas industry.

We are looking especially for IInstrumentation\Automation Engineers 

Your main responsibilities will be:

• System design
• Produce new documentation and drawings
• Revise existing documentation and drawings
• Produce work package for work preparation
• Order all instrument materials needed for offshore installation
• Must be able to understand P & IDs and drawings from different disciplines
• Follow-up and verification of equipment from our suppliers
• Participate in testing of supplier`s equipment
• Onshore/offshore verification and follow-up

You have:

• Knowledge of relevant European standards
• Knowledge of modifications on offshore installations when in operation
• Experienced in several process & utility systems, incl. control systems
• Knowledge of instrument and electrical equipment used in the oil industry
• Knowledge on the difference of using hydraulic, pneumatic or electrical in the safety system Knowledge of project planning and commissioning planning

• Engineering/maritime college or University education within cybernetic/automation, alternatively technical college and certificate of apprenticeship
• Work experience minimum 3-5 years within automation/instrumentation/telecom
• Fluent in English, both written and oral
• Good at communication and cooperation skills
• Capable of being structured and working independent
• Proactive and with a positive attitude
