Our client is a professional Clinical Research and Pharmaceutical organization, based in Zuid-Holland Netherlands.

ROLE DESCRIPTION
You'll be working in the USP department and focus on viral vaccines with mammalian cell lines. It's a job opening due to a maternity leave for at least 1 year with longer term possibilities due to other project pipelines. 40 hours preferred, 32 hours discussable.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The client is looking for a motivated Sr. Associated Scientist
- You will plan and coordinate scientific studies to support process development projects.
- You will perform data analysis and write scientific reports.
- You'll work with the technical staff on the lab to perform the experimental work.
- You'll work with USP scientists to translate the results of the development work into production processes.
- You may also represent USP in a multidisciplinary project team.
REQUIREMENTS
- You have a PhD. in a relevant discipline in biopharmaceutical sciences/engineering, biotechnology or virology or an M.Sc./PDeng with 3-4 years of experience in industry.
- You have experience with mammalian cell culture
- You have a strong affinity with upstream processes development, ideally with hands-on experience with bioreactors.
- Knowledge of GMP is an advantage.
- Fluent in Dutch
