The company is a multinational healthcare leader with a diversified portfolio of prescription medicines, vaccines, innovative medicines and medical devices.

Role Description

The viral vaccine group is working on the discovery and early development of vaccines for viral infectious diseases. The working process includes in vitro vaccine discovery, evaluation, and generation, followed by in vivo evaluation of these vaccine candidates in the appropriate animal models for immunogenicity or/and efficacy. The pre-clinical department is responsible for the evaluation of vaccines candidates in animal models.

Responsibilities

As an associate scientist you will report to one of the scientists within the pre-clinical department. You will perform the serological assays (ELISA and Virus Neutralization Assays) or cellular assays (such as ELISPOT) following Good Research Practices, and report the data to the research scientist.

Requirements

- HLO/BSc/MSc with some relevant experience in serological assays (ELISA/Virus Neutralization assays) and/or cellular assays (ELISPOT)
- Experience working in a pharma/ biotech is a strong plus
- pro-active team player, quality minded, flexible and accurate
- excellent communications skills in English
