Your new role 

This role is consistent with Tech’s goal to retain design roles under company to build capacity to drive End-User-Services (EUS) objectives and support mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. This role will provide you the opportunity to lead key activities to progress your career. These responsibilities include some of the following: 

Technical Leadership:

As an Azure/Google Cloud SME Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of cloud engineers and providing expert guidance and support for products involving Azure and/or Google Cloud platforms. Your role will involve a combination of technical expertise, leadership, and collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation and management of cloud-based solutions. You will be responsible for both technical and managerial aspects of the team39s activities.

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for the team, providing expert guidance on Azure and/or Google Cloud infrastructure technologies and best practices.

• Review and evaluate technical design proposals, ensuring they align with industry standards and meet the organization39s requirements.

• Assist in the architecture, design, and implementation of cloud infrastructure setup, configuration, and maintenance.

• Stay up to date with the latest cloud technologies and trends and share knowledge with the team.

Team Management:

• Lead and manage a team of cloud engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance feedback.

• Assign tasks and projects to team members, ensuring an equitable distribution of workload and appropriate skill utilization.

• Conduct regular team meetings to discuss project updates, challenges, and knowledge sharing opportunities.

• Collaborate with other stakeholders, such as project/product managers, product owners, and operations teams, to ensure successful product engg deliveries.

• Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, encouraging innovation, continuous learning, and professional growth.

What you39ll need to succeed 

• Bachelor39s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

• Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based infrastructure using Azure and/or Google Cloud.

• Knowledge of cloud computing concepts, architectures, and services (e.g., virtual machines, containers, serverless, networking, storage, databases, security).

• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

• Good understanding of DevOps principles and experience with CI/CD pipelines.

• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python).

• Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Relevant certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect are a plus.
