As assistant scientist you will report to the lab operations manager for training and job performance, and you will collaborate with a scientist or study director who will provide study plans describing the required experiments. You will independently perform the experiments based on these study plans and lab protocols. Typical assays to determine the immunogenicity of vaccines are the antibody ELISA, T cell ELISpot, Intracellular Cytokine Staining, and virus neutralization assays.
- Accurately document all results in LIMS;
- Report all data to your manager, discuss the outcome and perform follow up experiments;
- Write procedures;
- Contribute to the safety and cleanliness of the work environment.
- Experience with either ELISPOT, Flow Cytometry/FACS, or ELISA;
- You have a 'gettings things done' attitude and you are a team player;
- English is required, Dutch is a plus.
- A full year contract with a high chance of extension;

The Clinical Immunology department in Leiden is responsible for the immunological evaluation of vaccine candidates in clinical trials. Requirements
- A bachelor/HBO degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant work experience;- Experience with either ELISPOT, Flow Cytometry/FACS, or ELISA;
