We are seeking Accounts Payables Accountants in the Knowledge Center based in Gdansk Poland.
The role of the AP Accountant includes but is not limited to managing communications with vendors, operations and AP staff. The successful applicant ensures that invoices / credit notes are processed accurately in a timely manner, problems are resolved quickly, vendor statements are reconciled and monthly accruals are accurate and validated. To succeed in this role, you need to be a team player with ability to create an atmosphere of motivation and enthusiasm to be part of building up the Global with strong attention to detail and achieving month-end close deadline. - Attend the transfer of AP activities from Hamburg into the Knowledge Centre in Gdansk.
- Prepare, review, and enter invoices in the SAP accounting system
- Research and resolve open invoices/credits and maintain supplier relationships
- Reconcile supplier statements and trade liability positions
- Obtain approvals for payment processing
- Follow accounting standard and company policies
- Join a culture of continuous drive to improve standardization and harmonization of AP processes, incl. developing, maintaining and updating accounts payables process documentation
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor´s degree (Finance, Accounting or other relevant degree)
- Fluent English language skills, German language skills are a plus but not mandatory
- First work experience in shared service centre environment
- Proficient in SAP FI and Microsoft Office;
- Demonstrate positive and professional attitude toward staff, co-workers, internal and external customers, and management
- Demonstrate professionalism in appearance and manner
