Lostæti catering company was founded in September 1996 by Chef Valmundur Pétur Árnason and his wife Ingibjörg Ringsted. In the beginning there were only five employees, but in the last eighteen years Lostæti has prospered and currently has seventy employees working at five different divisions.
Lostæti‘s headquarters is located in Akureyri. Up there in the north the firm provides catering service to many companies from a big unit. Among a lot of other business relations, Lostæti has two service divisions in one of Akureyri’s colleges and in Akureyri’s university.
In the eastern part of Iceland, specifically in Reyðarfjörður, Lostæti provides services to one of the world’s leading aluminum factories, Alcoa.
