The company of our client is a well established agricultural business. Their focus is aimed at vegetable research/development/sales.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
As young and ambitious R&D Manager you are in charge for managing the companies breeding department. You will be leading and developing the breeding programs, build on innovation and planning. While doing this it is of utmost importance to develop new strategy. You will also continue to accelerate processes on the breeding programs site and enhance the team performance. This will exist out of development of new varieties, future trend assessments and teamwork.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform your role most efficient you will need to showcase experience and knowledge in the following areas:
• Enhance and innovate on team performance within breeding activities
• Manage the breeding specialist and assistant breeders
• Focus on strategic goals for future end user needs
• Ensure alignment between breeding programs and Commercial/Business implementations
• Further improve strategic communication among the departments/teams
REQUIREMENTS
• PhD/MSc in Agricultural related field
• Between 5-7 years of experience in the Crops Sciences as Breeder professional including managerial experience
• Strong breeding program and research knowledge
• Strong writing and speaking skills in English
• Hands-on mentality to anticipate to the daily operations
• A natural team leader with mentoring abilities
