For one of our clients, located in Katowice, we are currently searching for candidates for the position:
VAT assistant

Location: Katowice
Responsibilities:
- timely preparation of the VAT returns, EC Sales Listings and statistical declarations (Intrastat) for various European countries enabling timely payment and filing of the different forms
- handle appropriate reconciliations and follow up of corrections
- assistance with VAT audits (together with advisors)
- assist team members with operational tasks
- maintain contact with relevant internal departments
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in a financial direction (Accountancy or Economics)
- at least one year VAT/Intrastat compliance experience (or relevant Accountancy/ SAP experience with a growing interest in VAT compliance)
- basic level of SAP Experience is appreciated
- experience in Microsoft office, high level experience with Excel
- a track record in the field of Accountancy/ Financial Businesses, the Ministry of Finance or the Governmental tax-department is a preference
- an ambitious and pro-active attitude and willing to learn more regarding legal VAT systems of other countries
- high level of English is a must
- team player prepared to contribute in expansion of the Indirect Tax Department
