For Eaton's Vehicle Division we are looking to hire:

ValveTrain Advanced Manufacturing Engineer

location: Bielsko-Biala, Poland

Eaton’s production site in Bielsko-Biala was launched in 2005 and currently employs more than 700 people. The product portfolio covers Engine Valves, Lifters and Valve Actuation, which are supplied to global automotive customers.

The primary function of VT Advanced Manufacturing Engineer position will be to lead manufacturing process design, planning and execution for advanced new products. This includes process conceptualization, feasibility assessment, and validation. This person will also lead capital equipment analysis, vendor selection and development as well as plan and monitor manufacturing execution to key timing, cost and quality metrics.

Essential Functions:

• Prepare capital and operating cost estimates for new products and changes in existing products by estimating equipment, tooling, and gauging costs. Determines machine production rates and manning requirements
• Create manufacturing documentation, including fabrication drawings, process sheets, control plans and tool layouts
• Write and submit for approval, appropriation requests for new and replacement equipment, track and report on project spending
• Review and evaluate product designs and recommend changes to facilitate manufacturing
• Develop and update PFMEA’s working with multi-functional teams
• Conceptualize, develop, and approve designs of special tools, machines, and gauges for manufacturing processes
• Coordinate and perform machine runoffs to measure process and machine capability using SPC at vendor’s and Eaton’s facility and supervise in-house installations
• Train and inform operators, quality control technicians, front line leaders, and management on improved process techniques and new manufacturing concepts
• Work with purchasing and product engineering to develop rough and finish material drawings for purchased material vendors
• Meet with and present current equipment, process development, and appropriation spending progress on projects at regular design review committee meetings
• Complies with requirements of the Environmental Health and Systems at all supported Eaton locations

Wymagania

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
• Engineering experience in a machining/manufacturing environment
• Project management experience
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Previous budgetary/cost analysis experience
• Ability to direct and train other engineering reports and support individuals
