For our client, international production company we are looking for:

Value Add Engineer/ Inżynier Projektowania i Wyceny ProcesówMiejsce pracy: Łódź
Tasks:
  • Lead Cost/Value Engineering projects supporting both Development and Purchasing achieving cost optimized components and processes;
  • Cover the role of an expert in selected/various technologies concerning state of the art knowledge on production processes or product development.;
  • Provide cost transparency to components within Product Development Projects and evaluate in collaboration with Development alternative scenarios for cost and value optimized component design (e.g. raw material, production process, production location, function cost oriented design…);
  • Support Purchasing in achieving cost target(s) during awarding process of developed components on basis of cost structure analysis;
  • Analyze the cost of running components and their production process and develop cost optimized scenarios;
  • Support Purchasing throughout the transfer of cost reductions into price reduction by providing negotiation arguments;
  • Organize and lead workshops with Development or Purchasing and occasionally Suppliers to achieve cost transparency and optimize cost;
  • Act as first and direct contact person for internal customers as there are Development, Purchasing, Quality Management, Logistics;
  • Support internal customer pro-actively in the selection, specification and projects set-up and suggest most adequate approaches;
  • Actively participate in our learning organization, knowhow and experiences sharing within the community, developing specific knowhow content derived from regional requirements;
  • Participate as a valuable contributor to a diverse, dynamic and positive international team;
 
Requirements:
  • Education : Finished study of Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Business Administration with appropriate technical experience or similar
  • 5 years of professional experiences in Development, Purchasing, Industrial Engineering, Cost/Value Engineering, Business Consulting or Materials Engineering
  • Business English skills
  • Project Management skills
  • Production System Lean Tools (e.g. Value Stream Mapping and Design), REFA/MTM
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and Power Point, preferably Cost Analysis Software
  • Frequent business trips in/out of country of origin and experience in working with external parties (suppliers, consultants, institutions,…)
  • Very good communication skills, open minded, developed intercultural competence, high motivation and curiosity
