Unix/Linux Administrator
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide 3rd level support to the clearing connectivity framework, investigate and resolve issues, identify possible improvments
- Provide adequate documentation to hand-over new application modules, application changes to RTB teams
- Deliver low-level design for all application changes as per the agreed high level design
- Implement the agreed low-level design. Write unit test cases and perform unit testing.
- Provide technical support during the integration testing/user acceptance testing phases
- Liaise with wider teams to explore the possibility of re-use of available tools/designs/application components as required
Requirements:
- UNIX (ideally with experience in administration)
- Scripting language (ideally Perl) for light scripting development/configuration
- Experience in dealing with third party vendor for code integration, source control
- Database knowledge ideally SQL Server
- Knowledge of transfer protocols (sftp, http, etc)
- Exposure to Eclipse workbench
- XML
- Strong communication skills
- Autonomy as the candidate will initially operarate in a team that is in the process of being built Ideally Java development experience in Investment Banking
