Technical Buyer
Currently, for our Client, we are looking for a candidate for the position:
Main responsibilities:
- Close cooperation with R&D in new products implementation Project
- Close cooperation with Commodity Managers to assure accordance with commodity strategy and best competitiveness level of the material cost for new Project
- Preparing product requirements documents and quality requirements to ensure the basis for negotiation
- RFQ’s sending out and analysis internally (R&D, quality, technology) and with suppliers
- Participation in supplier qualification process
- Project plan follow up with suppliers to assure all milestones are kept
- Controlling the changes in material with suppliers(change management)
- Technical and commercial clarification with suppliers to prepare the award decision in coordination with X team and Commodity managers
- Implementing process audits in coordination with the supplier developer to ensure maximum cost transparency for the components purchased
- Negotiations with suppliers in implementing value limits to ensure optimum economic added value
Requirements:
- Education in the field of engineering in mechanics or electro energy technics
- Design capabilities Welcom
- Economical background Welcom
- Fluency in analyzing technical documentation (2D drawings, 3D models)
- Experience in work of multicultural environment
- Fluent English, German Welcom
- Knowledge about and experience with at least 2 of listed products and processes: plastic injection, high pressure die cast, sheet metal, electronics and electricals, inductive components.
- Experience in work as a part of project team
- Good planning and project management skills
- Knowledge about local market of suppliers, including Eastern Europe and APAC
- Understanding of purchasing targets and methods in production environment
