PANDORA, one of the world’s largest jewelry brands, is currently looking for a Tax Team Supervisor (VAT Team, GL department) for its Financial Shared Service Centre for EMEA Region in Warsaw, willing to support the success of this unique brand.
ROLE PURPOSE
Manage VAT team of accountants of different seniority (span of control 3-10 employees). Responsible for day to day operations in VAT team covering all VAT related processes. Oversee and ensure that all transactions are processed timely, with efficiency and quality according to predefined standards and deadlines.
Handle and take ownership of queries from internal customers and Tax Authorities in a timely manner.
MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the VAT team in order to guarantee efficiency and quality of work. Ensure right level of competencies, knowledge and motivation of his/her employees as well as secure communication flow within his/her own team and all other Pandora’s departments.
- Oversee and perform selected accounting processes covering all VAT related activities.
- Conduct yearly performance appraisal of his/her employees in order to ensure employees’ own development and alignment of company’s and individual objectives. Ensure right split of responsibilities (including back-ups) and monitor results of work.
- Monitor and control overtime and holiday usage.
- Oversee introduction and monitoring of right KPIs and internal controls to ensure efficiency and safety of processes.
- Oversee maintaining and updating process documentation and specific accounting procedures.
- Continuously improve and standardize processes in order to increase efficiency, quality and customer satisfaction level.
- Assist in audit processes (group, statutory, tax).
- Support Group Tax in handling indirect tax projects and audits. Handle and take ownership of queries from internal customers and Tax Authorities in a timely manner.
REQUIREMENTS
- Master Degree in Finance/Accounting/Tax.
- 3-6 years of experience with accounting, finance or tax department from an international company.
- Preferably 1-3 years of experience in managing a team.
- Fluent English is a must.
- Preferably knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX or similar ERP system.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and particularly MS Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Leadership skills.
- Change management skills.
- Excellent communication skills (ability to communicate in a clear, concise manner and listen attentively to others).
- Ability to build and establish a good working relationship within the organization.
- Ability to prioritise and manage time wisely in a fast paced environment.
- Good knowledge of European VAT regulations.
