Manage all in-country tax governance activities in order to optimize control over local tax processes. Advise local management, businesses and support functions on daily and project basis.
Client Details
Our Client is an international Real Estate company. In order to strengthen structures, we are looking for high potential and ambitious candidates to take-up a newly created position of Tax Manager / Tax Advisor to support the finance team, situated in Warsaw. The candidate will report into and liaise closely with the group CFO based in London.
Description
- Manage all in-country tax governance activities in order to optimize control over local tax processes
- Advise local management, businesses and support functions on daily and project basis
- Assisting the finance and development teams in tax aspects related to developments. These may include in particular assistance in structuring development budgets to accommodate accounting and tax requirements and to optimise RET and CIT position, classification of development related expenses and other
- Assistance with transactions to include acquisitions of new retail property assets, refinancing as well as any internal restructuring projects, managing tax and financial/accounting compliance aspects of any such transaction - Liaise also with an external accounting services provider, local Tax authorities
- Regular review of tax computations and declarations prepared by an external accounting services provider
- Monitoring changes to tax legislation and lines of authority expressed in tax rulings and court judgements - Working closely with the group CFO on any tax structuring, optimisation, transfer pricing or other pertaining to Polish SPVs as well as acquisition involvement
Profile
- Knowledge of local statutory and tax accounting rules
- Prior tax advisory transactional experience is a must, tax advisory qualification is preferred, real estate related tax knowledge is a must
- Experience and knowledge of other European tax regimes would be very preferable although not mandatory
- Must be highly energetic with the willingness to learn and research and take on new duties as and when they arise
- Right fit for the company culture which is centred around a passion for the business and a willingness at all levels to do rather than manage or delegate - Willing to work on ad hoc projects and not simply have a list of work from A to Z that needs to be completed daily
- Fluent in English
