Storage Consultant

Responsibilities:

- Ongoing management of configuration and layout of storage infrastructure;
- Assisting with defining IT strategy and architecture standards and driveing projects to adhere to these standards;
- Performing necessary storage infrastructure maintenance in accordance with best practices and Company change management policies;
- Documentation of design, system builds, configurations, and support procedures. Communication and presentation of ideas in a concise manner;
- Designing data migration architecture as required;
- Ongoing recommendations and best practices, as applicable, for the following areas: Business Continuity, High Availability, Backup, Recovery and Archiving.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience;
- Experience in managing Enterprise class storage environments;
- Minimum 3 years of experience with: EMC technologies: VPLEX, VNX1 & 2, VMAX 1 & 2, Recoverpoint, Networker, Data Domain, Avamar;
- Brocade FC switch and director technology;
- Minimum 3 years of experience supporting NFS, CIFS, iSCSI;
- Data Migration skills;
- Experience with: HPE, NetApp, IBM, HDS, Pure or Infinidat;
- Experience in administering and supporting VMWare ESX and Citrix XenServer platforms is a plus;
- Ability to troubleshoot performance issues on SAN switches and storage arrays;
- Initiative person with an ability to work independently;
- Strong organizational skills and attention to details;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Ability to make presentations in a professional manner;
- Understanding of tape technology as it pertains to offline backup and recovery connectivity including backup and recovery to tape using Spectralogic Tape libraries.
