THE COMPANY
Our client is a professional Food organization, based in Flandre Orientale Belgium.
The company is a large player in the Belgian bakery sector and focusses on fresh bakery products. The company has both production sites and its own stores.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
As Sourcing QA Manager, you are responsible for the quality throughout the supply chain, from sourced ingredients to finished products in the company's stores. You will visit the stores and conduct audits to maintain and improve quality performance. In this role, you will operate on the corporate level and report to the Corporate QA Manager, and lead a team of 2 QA Specialists.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and optimise the quality system for sourced products and ensure the quality of sourced ingredients.
- Ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards within the company's stores.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects at the corporate level.
- Lead a team of 2 QA Specialists.
- Occasional travel across the Benelux region.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Bio-Engineering, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Food Technology, or similar.
- At least 5 years of experience with QA in the food industry.
- Knowledge of HACCP and GFSI standards.
- Experience in the bakery industry is an asset.
- Fluency in Dutch, French and English.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
