We are working as a recruitment provider searching on our Client's behalf for a person in the following role:
Solutions Architect

Provide innovative and practical designs that accounts for the end-to-end solution of a function that is in line with the business objectives
Deliver architecture that supports the most efficient and secure solutions meeting business needs
Manage the relationship between business and external/internal IT services
Trusted advisor to both business and IT stakeholders
Experience of optimizing complex systems and working with business to solve problems using technology
Experience of 'owning' the design of a major/large component of an application or software architecture
Conducting design and architectural review with the wider architecture community
Re-use of architectural artefacts like business services, APIs, and functions
Ensure solutions adhere to common standards
Direct or indirect involvement in the development of policies, standards and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation and use of processes and technologies
Requirements:
Ability to breakdown and explain complex technical solutions to audiences with varying degrees of knowledge and technical capabilities
Ability to lead engineering teams and resolve technical issues
Good understanding of 12-factor applications
Excellent presentation skills – Preparing and delivering high level architectural solutions to senior executives
Ability to work independently and without supervision
Experience in building distributed / service oriented / micro services style and cloud based architectures
API design knowledge i.e. REST and standards like JSON
Technical understanding of Databases and Messaging Queues (Specifically Kafka and Kinesis)
Experience with scalable web services and databases
Implementation knowledge of NoSQL databases, including scaling and high availability
Design and architecture experience in AWS
AWS Technologies (Specifically Kinesis, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, Aurora, DynamoDB)
Relevant experience on streaming data and large data sets
Nice to have:
