Main purpose of the role and key responsibilities:

Flexi BTS IT Specialist (SCM) is responsible for design, implementation and maintainance of automated builds environment for multiple platforms. SCM Specialist will support and continue to optimize the build process, recognize and repair compile problems, research and recommend new build and deployment technologies. SCM Specialist communicates daily with development team members supporting several phases of development lifecycle including deployment requirements, testing and rebuilds, and release into production environments.

Helps administer development environment configuration including web servers, application servers, and build servers. Works with Architecture team to enforce, refine, and streamline software build and deployment process.

 

Requirements:

  • Experience in Software Configuration Management area and Continuous Integration
    (ClearCase/Subversion/CruiseControl experience is a plus)
  • Strong experience in Perl/Python/Shell scripting
  • Knowledge of software development processes and tools
  • MSc or BSc in Computer Science, Telecommunications or equivalentFluent written and spoken English

The Radio Access BU is responsible for provisioning the best in class radio access networks for GSM, WCDMA, WiMAX and LTE technologies. The responsibility of BTS R&D site at Wroclaw is to specify, design, implement, integrate and verify software for many variants of Nokia Siemens Networks base stations.
