For our Client we are currently looking for qualified Candidates for the position of:
Unix Administrator
Location: Warsaw (ul. Żwirki i Wigury)
Job type: B2B
Length: long-term cooperation (first contract for 12 months)
Rate: 100-120 PLN/h net
Working hours: business hours, between 8 AM and 6 PM
Moreover, in every 3 months there are 3 weeks of shift work (1 week: 6am-2pm, 1 week: 2pm-10pm, 1 week: 10pm-6am). This includes working on weekends.
Start date: ASAP
Team: 15+ people, infrastructure team
Due to current situation, the whole recruitment process will be arranged remotely, as well as onboarding and daily work. But in the first few days there might be a necessary to come to the office.

Responsibilities:
- Incident and problem management, performance improvement
- Monitoring of servers, filesystems, CPU/memory utilization
- Patching and upgrading of Operating System, new storage addition (SAN/NAS)
- Configuration and maintenance of HA (Sun Cluster / RedHat Cluster Server) and distributed computing (HIVE) environments
- Backup support and troubleshooting
- Installation of application packages and configuration files
- Application performance issues troubleshooting
- Maintenance of servers’ configuration data collection (CMDB)
- Capacity management (reporting high memory/CPU/filesystem usage to AMs, supporting application data growth data collection)
- Cooperation and support for other infrastructure teams (Storage, Backup, Network) and their change/delivery processes
- Support for new projects related to infrastructure and/or new application environments
- Assisting with DR activities, both for infrastructure and application tasks/duties
- Every 3rd month working with 3 week shift: morning (6am - 2 pm), afternoon (2 pm - 10 pm), night shifts (10pm - 6 am) per a week. The schedule is flexible and can be rearranged internally.
Requirements – must have:
- Wide experience (4-5 years) in Solaris and Linux Operating Systems
- Mastering Cluster technologies (Sun Cluster, Red hat Cluster Server)
- Good knowledge of at least one of the automation tools (Chef, Ansible, Puppet, Salt)
- Script and Shell programming
- Willingness to work on shifts (more info below)
- Fluency in English
- Virtualization techniques (Solaris Zones, Oracle VM, RHEV, XEN, KVM, VMWare)
- Process Management Best Practices (example ITIL) and related tooling (HP SM, HP OVO, REMEDY)
- WebSphere MQ / MQFTE, Windows Operating System, Oracle databases, backup tools
- Knowledge of Python would be an asset (Administrator with strong Python background might be considered for Python Developer role)
