Senior Software Test Engineer

• Coordinate and communicate with developers on bug fixes and required modifications.

• Experience in developing and implementing QA processes.

• Identify and document test cases for multi-component systems, clearly defining and managing test specifications.

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a QA role testing server-side and client-side applications, scalable and robust systems.

• Execute/analyze test cases and document software defects.

• Develop and report metrics on test results.

• Develop regression testing framework.

• Estimating time for testing activities.

• Developing manual and automated test scripts within aggressive time schedules for various types of testing: functional, system, regression, performance.

• Build automated test framework for backend systems and API's.

• Troubleshooting and verifying bugs and errors reported by clients, post-launch.

• Updating testing scripts based on bugs and changes/upgrades to the applications/software.

• Communicating testing results to Test Lead and team members.

• Working with team members to find the causes of programming errors.

• Following-through to ensure that bugs are corrected and verified.

• Developing reusable test strategies/plans for various applications.

• Making recommendations regarding long-term development of quality assurance process, workflow and department.

• Problem solving, excellent verbal and written communications skills.

• Minimum 3-5+ years software test experience.

• Very good knowledge of English

• Experience in a Telco and networking environment.

• Knowledge of networking protocols: HTTP, TCP, SMS, MMS.

• ATOM and JSON experience is desireable.

• Experience with source code management systems e.g. CVS, Perforce

• Experience working in a Linux / UNIX environment

• Testing API's covering functional, system and performance testing

• Excellent communication and reporting skills.

• Ability to write and communicate test plans and reports

• Ability to deliver quality documentation

• Excellent organizational skills

• Experience with test automation scripting e.g. JMeter , Python, etc

• Knowledge of Agile development a must.

• Familiarity with databases in particular Oracle and MySQL.
