RESPONSIBILITIES:
The ideal candidate will be in a key management role reporting to Corporate Engineering Director, supporting the director in managing a small team of project managers/project engineers highly talented and qualified.
He/she shall ensure that the projects are initiated, planned and managed in a way that represents best practice for project management in Polpharma Groups and its affiliates and he/she will ensure proper reporting to senior management on the progress of all capital projects in the group.
In his/her role shall contribute to the development of the vision and strategy for the project management and project engineering within the group contributing to the innovation of project management practices.
Possible place of work: Gdańsk, Starogard Gdański or Warsaw
- Manage a portfolio of projects at corporate level for approx. 100.000 kUSD/year
- Develop and manage at corporate level the project management/project engineering cluster
- Review and set up best project management practices at corporate level
- Secure that key strategic initiatives are launched according to PM best practices having project charter and plan in place
- Assume the leadership of key strategic initiatives at corporate level in the area of capital project management
- Lead the development and drive delivery of the project risk management plans with mitigation activities
- Assign project management leaders to key initiatives as necessary
- Support local operations in managing capital projects
- Develop and maintain Project Lessons Learned
- Manage department budget
- Report at corporate level on monthly and quarterly basis
- Coach and develop project management skills across group engineering functions
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum:
- Graduated in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
- Project Management experience with at least 12/15 years of proven track records, preferably in process, chemical and pharma industry
- Project Management and Investment processes robust knowledge and skills
- Knowledge of MS Project required
- Graduated in, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering Faculties with specialization in Industrial Design
- Fluent in technical and business English
- Knowledge of CAD
- Deep knowledge of MS Office tool (including Visio and Power Point)
- Basic knowledge of environmental regulations
- Basic knowledge of authority permitting process
- Result /time orientation
- Flexibility, openness and adaption to work challenges

- Ability to prioritize tasks
Desirable:
- Previous experience in pharmaceuticals engineering environment in the position of Project Engineer and/or Discipline coordinator
- Russian Language
- Optional Italian and/or French
- IPMA and PMI or PRINCE certification
