ROLE DESCRIPTION

The senior Planner / Buyer will be responsible for leading and executing all activities related to the introduction, planning and procurement of raw materials and operational supplies needed for clinical and commercial New Product Introductions (NPI) ensuring timely availability of the right quantity of materials.
This will be done in collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders for identifying NPI material requirements, sourcing new materials, material- and supplier qualification, testing and release as well as external suppliers located across the world. In addition, you will be responsible for expanding the inventory process in collaboration with suppliers and Quality customers while maintaining or improving replenishment service level.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop, maintain, communicate and execute the publication of the MRP in order to make sure requirements are met.
- Maintain both raw materials and components while minimising obsolete and excess materials.
- Contribute to the global planning by ensuring efficient and effective procurement and inventory practices.
- Ensure that all material delivery schedules are communicated to the suppliers on time.
- Responsible for timely availability of raw materials and operational supplies needed for clinical and commercial new product introductions.
- Responsible for Material Requirements Planning of laboratory lab chemicals and supplies
- Supports material and component Phase in and Phase Out processes.
- Partner with all internal and external business partners.
- Clarify potential plan constraints and interfaces between supplier and the key internal stakeholders to ensure issue resolution.
- Participate in supply review meeting and exception management

REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor or master's Degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics
- Supply Chain Certification is preferred e.g. APICS.
- Lean Certification is desirable.
- Experience using SAP
- Background working in a regulated environment (Preferably pharmaceuticals) in an international organisation
- Experience with Flawless Project Execution or other Project Management methodology
- Hands-on planning experience
- Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus)
- Ability to handle difficult and challenging situations
- Experience leading cross-functional teams
- Customer focussed
- Results driven, while ensuring the optimisation
