As a Data Engineer, you will be working with our Business Intelligence Team to maintain and develop the data warehouse. You will be responsible to build scripts, tools, infrastructure, frameworks, and services to ensure the data warehouse captures data in a comprehensive and timely manner and that ongoing improvement, enhancements and changes to the product are reflected in the data warehouse. You will also work with our Business Analysts to add meta-data layers to improve and enhance reporting and analytics practices.

Senior Oracle Database Administrator
Key Accountabilities:
- Application of expert knowledge with regard to the use, installation, and integration of Oracle Data Base with Pitney Bowes Software products
- Advanced PL/SQL Development
- Database Design
- Tuning of databases
- Interaction with developers on projects to deliver innovative solutions to diverse customer problems
- Interaction with professional Service on projects to analyze and fix issues relative to database when required
- Interaction with clients on projects to increase Data Base performance
- Assumes responsibility for acquiring knowledge of the technologies and products necessary to the completion of assigned tasks
- Works with relative autonomy on the detailed analysis, design and development of project components
- Build best practices and reusable components and solutions on Pitney Bowes Software products
Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
- B.S. degree in Computer Science, MIS or a related discipline and/or equivalent experience
- Oracle Certified
- Able to communicate in English at a moderate level, both oral and written
- Willingness to travel within the EU if required
- Very good skills in Oracle DB Installation, Patching and Upgrading
- Good skills in Managing Oracle Space (tablespace usage monitoring, compression, space allocation management)
- Good skills in Oracle Backup and Recovery techniques (recovery configuration, backup strategies, RMAN knowledge)
- Good skills in Oracle DB Maintenance (techniques and tools)
- Good skills in Oracle Performance Management (memory, resources, SQL tuning)
- Good skills in Oracle Bulk loader processing
- Experiences with large DB ( > 300 tables, > 1 Tb )
- Experiences Partitioning and Olap usage
- Tools: Toad, SQLDeveloper, database designer, Power AMC
- Knowledge on Clustering / RAC 1 can be a plus
- Knowledge on other SQL or noSQL engine can be a plus
