We are searching for experienced Senior Java Developer (Big Data) who would like to join a team in Cracow, Poland. Your role and responsibilities:
- Participating in all phases of development;
- Use best practices to deliver high-quality code;
- Defining and solving issues reported by business teams;
- Quickly responding to technical requests from team members or customers;
- Cooperating with business and technical teams;
- Write and maintain technical documentation relevant to the project (both technical and non-technical teams);
- Technologies: Java, Spark, Flume, HDFS, Vertica, Spring Boot, Python, SQL, MySQL.
Essential skills for this role:
- +8 year experience in an analytical/data/software development role with more than 2-year experience with Big Data, preferably in an e-commerce environment;
- must have an experience with Big Data platforms and technologies;
- extensive experience with Java;
- strong experience with Spring framework, i.e. Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data;
- experience with SQL Databases and MySQL;
- experience with statistics/machine learning packages such as SparkML, Python etc. and techniques such as Clustering, Decision Trees, Linear and Non-Linear Programming, SVM etc.
It would be nice to have:
- experience with catching solutions;
- experience with Apache HBase;
- Hadoop Certification;
