Our client is a professional Pharmaceutical organization, based in Waals-Brabant Belgium.

ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Senior Indirect buyer is responsible for the purchasing of relevant activities and projects in the indirect area (materials procurement). He will manage materials such as the maintenance spare parts, laboratory supplies, non-quality related raw materials as well as ARIBA orders. As Sr Indirect Buyer you will work closely with the department leads (internal and external) to communicate and coordinate tasks to assure optimal procurement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage all sourcing relevant activities for projects in the indirect area - from market analysis, to bidding process to supplier selection in alignment with project team/users/requestors
Cost effective management of sourcing projects, create respective awareness at all internal parties involved
Main contact for all sourcing and procurement relevant aspects
Main contact for commercially and legally relevant supplier complaints
Represent Baxter’s commercial and legal interests (in accordance with PSM contract templates) towards the suppliers
Continuously maintain current knowledge of relevant sourcing markets
Advise internal customers on procurement processes
Lead supplier selections in alignment with users/requestors and project teams
Analyze supplier performance, pursue supplier performance improvements
Create and maintain purchase orders, contracts and framework agreements
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor/Master degree in Economics
Five years of professional experience in similar areas or industries
Basic knowledge of local laws relevant for commercial contracts
Good proficiency of English (business fluent)
Good IT knowledge (ERP systems, analyses in Excel)
Good knowledge of cost accounting, procurement, disposition and planning principles
Good communication skills
Analytical thinking
