Senior Fullstack Java Developer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our customer is one of the largest financial institutions in the world. It has 530 offices located in more than 50 countries around the world. We are looking for professionals who join new opened branch located in Warsaw (city center). You will work on a strategic project for the Enterprise Services department. The team will provide a single global access mechanism through which Business, Application Development users can request, report, monitor and manage the risk, cost and delivery of all services as appropriate to their role and organization. The candidate will be responsible for technical analysis, development and implementation of the application and components as well as participating in QA and code reviews, and handling second level production support. The candidate may work on both strategic and Business as Usual application enhancements and defects for the projects in the areas of integration with different systems and applications, development of portlets and widgets for content on boarding and re-engineering of existing application interfaces.

Proposed salary: 12 000 PLN gross/month

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement TS Portal platform - hands on Java Engineer to Architect
• Demonstrate expertise in web application development, utilizing current industry standard tools and framework
• Program daily in AngularJS, JQuery, Bootstrap and other JS libraries
• Lead other developers and guiding technical projects
• Create automated test plans and write tests
• Build out restful endpoints and lightweight aggregation layers.
• Build out unit tests and other automated tests.
• Build out new features and iterate on existing features.
• Design and implement low-latency, high-availability and performant applications
• Troubleshoot, performance tune and understand java memory utilization in code produced and participate in functional and design meetings and reviews
• Collaborate with business analysts and back-end developers to define functional requirements and requires, it can be discussed. ServiceNow is a core part of our organization, and its unlikely to be replaced in the short term

Requirements:

• Minimum 2-3 years of IT experience is essential. Involvement in multiple major implementations in Investment Banking IT with Operations background would be beneficial
• Real world web and service development experience
• Proven expertise in some common Javascript frameworks such as Angular, JQuery and Bootstrap to demonstrate ability to adopt new frameworks as technologies evolve
• Experience with server-side templating languages like Jade, EJS, etc.
• Experience with HTML & CSS frameworks such as bootstrap
• Experience with web services API integration (Rest, JSON, XML)
• Understanding of general user experience and UI design principles
• Ability to understand requirements and map to technical implementation
• Exposure to distributed technologies required - JAVA, J2EE, JSP, Servlets, SOAP-WSDL, JNDI, JDBC XML, Struts, Spring, Hibernate, JMS, JavaScript and other related Web technologies;
• Unix/Linux experience is required. Sound knowledge of version control & debugging tools
• Experience with design and implementation of relational model for web applications (Oracle DB, SQL)
• Knowledge on Open Source tools used in development process (like Subversion, Git, STAF)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
