On behalf of our Client, a global SSC established in Gdańsk we are currently seeking Candidates for the position of Senior Data Migration Specialist.
Your new role
If you are an expert with previous good experience in doing data migration to help the company in the journey of moving all their existing product data from the scattered system landscape into one coherent PLM system, this role is for you. We are looking for a data migration specialist that has technical expertise with various data formats, tools, databases and systems and that has excellent skills in building and programming tools for automatic data migration as well as techniques for migrating complex and sometimes unstructured data. Your main tasks will be defining the different data migration approaches for the different data in the different systems, defining the data migration rules and steps and designing and developing automated data migration tools including data extraction, data cleansing, data transformation and data load. You will be part of the specific migration and cut-over activities when rolling out the new PLM system and moving existing processes and data into the future solution.
What you'll need to succeed
You should have great analytic skills and you should know the pitfalls when moving data from a scattered system landscape into one coherent database. You should be able to understand the migration rules and develop tools for automated migration, and you should be able to ensure high level of data quality. As you will work closely together with both the business and other teams you need good cooperation and communication skills. What’s important, you have in-depth experience in data migration techniques, tools and concepts and you can work easily with different data sources and databases. Moreover, you have an expertise in SAP Data Services. Fluency in English is required.
